PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS is the Next Step to the Future of Online Gaming

YBLTV Review: Bluehole Inc.’s PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS Video Game

As 2016 came to end millions of gamers sat in anticipation for the next year of amazing game releases. As popular game developing companies began to stack disappointment on disappointment, a small company named Bluehole Inc. quietly released what is now one of the most played games in the world. Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds is a game still in development and yet it has toppled over every game release this year. Accumulating an amazing average of 900,000 players per day, this unfinished game has become the king of all games and I believe it to be worth every penny of what they charge.

Product Features

I have had this Battle Royale game for a few months and I haven’t played any other game in my library since. It is the most exhilarating shooter I have ever played- Playerunknown’s has completely changed my thoughts on what fun gaming is and I hope Bluehole Inc. keeps surprising us at every turn. The beautiful premise of this game is everyone is at equal terms and the rest is just pure skill or outstanding luck. When you spawn into the game you have nothing but the clothes on your back and your parachute to jump out of the plane. Buildings hold guns, armor and medical supplies so you do want to aim for a structure to gain the materials vital for your survival. Rural areas are your best chance if you dislike early conflict but cities can average from five to twenty players. If you peruse a city, right when you land- the chaos starts! Running footsteps and gunshots fill the narrow alleyways as online players fight for control. When it gets quiet, you should worry. That usually means the smartest, deadliest, and most geared players are last alive. If you manage to get out, the game pushes you into smaller areas forcing conflict and increasing player density so you are always on the edge of your seat.

PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS Week 21 of Early Access

Pros

The third and first-person gameplay throws you through amazing fire fights and intense moments. The combat system is extremely realistic, you must compensate for distance, movement and bullet drop to get clean and connecting shots. The wide array of weaponry can have you puzzled as you decide what gun to use or what to leave behind. It is an extremely advanced game and I have no doubt will lay the base to the future of gaming.

Cons

There are problems in almost every game. Since this game is still in early access, there are a lot of issues. From rendering problems, all the way to falling through the ground and dying- this game can surprise you in the strangest of ways. When driving cars, the mechanics of the game seem to be slightly broken and hard to steer. You can get stuck in a reloading animation and need to drop the gun on the ground completely so that it fixes itself. On occasion, you can shoot a guy 4-5 times but due to the bad sync on his screen you’re missing all your shots. The game can be frustrating because of these random glitches, but I think it just adds to its uniqueness. I cannot tell you how many times I have died laughing because of something totally random or weird happening. If you play together with friends, it can be a lot more fun. But in the end, these are glitches. To the competitive gamer, it truly can be upsetting.

Final Thoughts

Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds is a beautiful example of the next generation of gamingBluehole Inc. has taken a free world map and given it a competitive and intense feeling like no other game ever has. My heart races in gunfights and the adrenaline rushes are outstanding. I will keep playing this fun and addicting game and I hope its release on Xbox will bring it to new heights. I gave this game an 8/10 because it is extremely fun. But it does have a lot of problems- so it does not deserve a higher score until new patches and/or the full release of the game. My name is Parker and this has been a comprehensive review on Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds.

Parker’s Rating: 8/10 stars
