YBLTV Review: Worx SD Semiautomatic Cordless Drive
With 13 new products at the WORX booth #7806 at The 2018 National Hardware Show, you won’t want to miss some of the company’s lawn, garden and DIY tools – including their Hydroshot Portable Power Cleaners and new cordless lawnmowers at next week’s show in Las Vegas, NV.
I have always considered myself to be a pretty handy gal. There I was, going along, fixing things with this tool or that tool, never knowing what I was missing. Then my sister gave me the BEST Christmas present ever: a Worx SD Semiautomatic Cordless Driver. The name is bigger than the tool, and that’s one of the best things about it. It’s a little guy, but it packs a big, useful punch.
I have yet to find a project that my Worx Driver can’t help with. Are you a fan of “some assembly required” furniture? BOOM! Worx Driver. Are you replacing a door and need to remove the hinges from the frame? You guessed it…Worx Driver. I keep this puppy charged and ready at all times because I’m always finding another use for it.
“You really need the Worx SD Semiautomatic Cordless Driver in your life!” – Ashlee Finck, YBLTV Writer / Reviewer @finkaboutit
If the 11 different screw-driving bits aren’t enough, there is also a tiny pilot hole-screw starter drill bit! It charges quickly and the charge lasts long enough to complete just about any task I’ve challenged it with. Switch from driving in to backing out with the click of the switch and just keep going. It’s super useful and fun to work with.
Aside from how useful it is, it’s also really fun. It’s like building a bookcase with a small pistol. I feel like I am in a duel with whatever I’m working on. There are two cartridges of bits and they are quick and easy to change. Just pull the cover back, pop a cartridge in and slide it closed. The selected bit is in the chamber, ready to go!
We recently revamped my daughter’s bedroom, and I used my Worx Driver on literally EVERY part of the remodel. From assembling a loft bed, to removing and reinstalling switch plates, to drilling pilot holes, it got the job done. I rarely go a full week without finding something to use it on. I can’t stress the utility of this little giant enough!
