YBLTV Review: MAGIX Music Maker

Music connoisseurs looking for a creative, simple, and affordable music recording platform like myself can find it all in one program with MAGIX Music Maker. Initially Magix Music Maker was introduced back in 1994 and has gone through many changes since then. You can purchase the newest proprietary version from their website at www.magix.com as either a download or a disc. There are a few different versions from basic to premium, and range in cost from $59.99 to $129.99 respectively. This is a great introductory price for beginner musicians who are new to recording music with a computer software program. The software itself is easy to use with built in sound pools, audio effects, and the ability to record with your own instruments.

It works on Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10 operating systems with minimum system requirements of 2 GHz processing speeds, 2 GB of Ram, a monitor display with a minimum resolution of 1280 x 768, an onboard soundcard, and 7.5 GB of hand drive space for installation. Magix Music Maker supports the import and export of WAV, MP3, OGG Vorbis, WMA, MIDI, and FLAC audio files. It also supports the import and export of AVI, MXV, and WMV video files. In the box the basic version contains 5,000+ sounds and loops, 6 different sound pool styles that range from hip hop to rock (with more available to purchase online), 6 virtual instruments, 99 tracks, essential audio effects, and a mastering suite. This allows for limitless possibilities of mixing sounds and beats together into your own recordings.

For beginners this is an amazing introduction to music recording production. Veterans may require more advanced technical music recording software programs, but with a starting price of only $59.99. You can’t really find any better value than with Magix Music Maker. There is a lot of fun to be had with Magix Music Maker as I always found myself getting lost in the sounds by coming up new arrangements every time booted up the program. I would highly recommend this software to any recording artist for its ease of use, accessible price, and quality recording tools.
