The National Hardware Show® Is Just One Week Away!

NORWALK, Connecticut, April 28, 2016 —The National Hardware Show® starts next week! The Show will be held Wednesday, May 4, through Friday, May 6, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

“We’re looking forward to seeing everyone at the Show,” says Rich Russo, vice president of the National Hardware Show. “We’ve worked hard to put together an event that offers something for everyone, including new products, networking opportunities, educational events and more.”

“I attend the National Hardware Show to find the latest and greatest new items I otherwise would not have the opportunity to see,” says Adam Busscher, owner of Picton Home Hardware Building Centre in Picton, Ontario. “The value we receive from attending the Show comes from being the first retailer in our area to have new and different products, and the opportunity to associate with other retailers from all over
North America.”

A New Experience

You may notice a few differences this year throughout the Las Vegas Convention Center.

“We wanted to try a few new things to draw in our attendees, and to give them the best Show experience yet,” says Russo. “We’ve provided several ways for them to quickly and easily find the information they’ll need so they can get the most out of their time at the Show, and we’ve also provided a little entertainment to start and wrap up each day at the Show.”

When you come in each morning, free coffee and refreshments will help you get your day off to a good start. There will be free breakfast on opening morning, Wednesday, May 4, at the North American Retail Hardware Association (NRHA) Village Stage and also at the Tailgate, Backyard & BBQ shuttle bus drop-off area on Wednesday, May 4, and Thursday, May 5. Take a few minutes to grab a cup of coffee and a bite to eat while you catch up with other attendees.

After a full day of walking the Show floor, checking out new products and listening to speakers, make sure to stop by happy hour, which will take place each afternoon in the Grand Lobby between the Central and North Halls and near the shuttle pick-up.

There are also a few new tools that have been put in place at this year’s Show, including the Information Line that can quickly answer any questions you might have—just call 702-943-3500, text 203-613-0063 or email NHS411Hotline@reedexpo.com—and find out where an event is happening, the booth number for a specific exhibitor, recommendations on exhibitors to visit, where to find new products, or anything else you might need to know. It’s like a mobile information desk!

If you know what products you’re looking for but aren’t sure which exhibitor may offer them, check out the new Match Me information kiosks. In addition to getting answers to your questions about the Show, it’s a quick and easy way to narrow your search, which helps you save time. And, considering the thousands of exhibitors on the Show floor and the limited amount of time you have to walk the floor, saving time is a top priority! You’ll find the Match Me Information kiosks in the lobby and at the entrances to the North and Central halls.

Keep your schedule organized by signing up for My Show (you can sign up at nationalhardwareshow.com ), which allows you to update your schedule electronically, as well as search for exhibitors or view personalized exhibitor and product recommendations, and much more. You can also link your My Show account to the NHS Mobile App, sponsored by Swift Green Filters. The app is free to download and allows you access to your schedule on the go and comes complete with the full exhibitor list, booth-to-booth directions, up-to-the-minute Show information and a full list of seminars and events. There’s a specific section for Independent Retailers, featuring an overview of the NRHA Village Stage seminars along with a list of more than 1,000 exhibitors who sell to independent retailers. Download the app for free in the App Store or at Google Play.

Finding New Products

Of course, one of the most important reasons most retailers say they attend the Show is to discover
new products.

This year, it’s easy to find a variety of new products all in one place: the Featured Product Gallery.

The Featured Product Gallery includes New Product World product displays from the Eco Friendly, Energy Efficient, Emergency Preparedness & Disaster Recovery and Made in USA, all in one convenient location. Find it in meeting room N101 on Level 1 of the convention center.

Be sure to catch more than 50 products, not yet released to market in New Product Launch, located in the Central Lobby.

And for the latest innovations, make time to explore Inventors Spotlight in meeting room N109 for up-and-coming inventors, United Inventors Association Stage sessions and much more!

Because the Show is the place to find the newest products, some of which haven’t even hit the market yet, the Featured Product Gallery, New Product Launch and Inventors Spotlight are can’t-miss areas for all Show attendees.
