Augmented Reality is Light, Bright and Really Smart with Epson’s Moverio® BT-300 Smart Glasses

Si-OLED (Silicon OLED) Makes For Game-Changing Technology

YBLTV chatted with Epson America, Inc.‘s Product Manager, New Ventures, Michael Leyva at the 2016 NAB Show in Las Vegas, NV. We got to experience the Moverio® BT-300, the world’s lightest binocular, see-through smart glasses.

Leyva talked to us about its silicon-based OLED display technology. Augmented reality can easily come to life! “The transition from LCD backlit projection to Si-OLED enables higher contrast levels, a wider color gamut and true display transparency – this is a game-changing technology that will accelerate the adoption of AR glasses.” says Eric Mizufuka, Product Manager, New Ventures for Epson America.

The Moverio BT-300 glasses are powered by a quad core Intel® Atom™ X5 processor and Android 5.1 and will be available in late 2016. But don’t worry – you can pre-order at Epson.com/Moverio.

Leyva also spoke with us about Epson’s involvement with drone market leader, DJI.
