At Chevrolet‘s impressive booth at this year’s International CES, YBLTV spoke with Katlynn Downey, Account Executive at Weber Shandwick about the next generation of OnStar Technology.

Built on a foundation of safety and security, OnStar service offers some convenience features as well, giving drivers the opportunity to use their blue button to access information on points of interest with a live person. Not only choices, but promotions or discounts as well that can be sent to the driver’s smartphone to use when they arrive.

Working with Progressive Insurance, OnStar is introducing an opt-in program utilizing the owner’s real-time driving metrics to compare with other drivers and submit their safe driving results for savings on their policy.

GM owners can also take advantage of OnStar Vehicle Prognostics- the next generation of OnStar diagnostics to help keep your car running smoothly and prevent issues with continuous systems monitoring.

We also chatted about OnStar’s RemoteLink app, offering features such as Remote Start, Navigation, where drivers can send directions to their car before even getting in, Vehicle Locate, Vehicle Diagnostics to remotely monitor tire pressure and fuel level and 4G LTE for a WiFi hotspot for up to 7 devices.

Built on a foundation of safety and security, OnStar is well rounded with lifestyle and convenience features that everyone can appreciate.
