Irvine, CA, March 14, 2013 – VidOvation, a leading technology provider of video and data communication systems to the broadcast television and sports markets, announced today the expansion of their corporate strategy to bring their innovative broadcast expertise and technology to corporate AV and government customers at a system and implementation price point that will encourage early adoption from technology leaders and followers alike.

VidOvation’s expanded strategy will focus on three new technologies: 1) IPTV and Video-over-IP systems implemented in an open architecture to provide high end features, quality, and performance at a price point comparable to low end systems; 2) Webcasting and Video Streaming technology providing streaming and encoding for up to 4 cameras over Wi-Fi, wired, and cellular networks at 1/3 the implementation cost of competitive systems; and 3) Fiber optic transmission systems that are the price – performance leader and can connect to SD/HD-SDI, broadband, or RF networks.

“While VidOvation is known for delivering innovative technologies to broadcast networks like our award winning In-net wireless GoalCam system to the National Hockey League, we also wanted to extend the reach of our flexible and versatile systems into new market verticals that have similar application needs that allow us to leverage our decades of AV knowledge and experience,” said Jim Jachetta, president and CEO, VidOvation.

“For example, our IPTV software is built on an open architecture that enables flexibility in implementation, allowing for the purchase of hardware from multiple hardware vendors. This affords the best quality and performance for each customer’s environment and budget with no vendor lock in,”  – Jim Jachetta, President and CEO, VidOvation

VidOvation is delivering on its expanded strategy and will be demonstrating their new acquisition, processing and transmission systems at NAB 2013 in Booth N1307, in the Las Vegas Convention Center. Included in the demonstrations are IPTV open architecture, flexible middleware system; webcasting and video streaming products encoding and streaming 1 to 4 cameras in a battery operated system; and fiber optic transmission systems that integrate with traditional distribution networks. VidOvation will also have on display its new VidLink II-5 60GHz wireless Video Link system that supports SD/HD-SDI and DVB-ASI and can cost-effectively transmit uncompressed HD for up to 500 meters. The indoor/outdoor weather proof VidLink II-5 is ideal for ENG news gathering, sports coverage (stadium, track, golf course), live broadcast, security, surveillance and building-to-building links where it is not practical to run physical cable, where location secrecy is paramount or where there’s too much interference from RF radiation.

Concluded Jachatta, “VidOvation has become the go to name in video over wireless and we are proud to extend that leadership into new markets and technologies.  The combination of our expertise in delivering innovative broadcast technology and systems that are easy to deploy, operate, and support provides affordable systems for these new markets with outstanding quality and performance.”
